I prefer the Vertical Labret piercing because it is a unique and visually striking piercing that goes vertically through the bottom lip, giving it a more distinctive look. The placement of the piercing also allows for more versatility in jewelry options, making it a more customizable choice. Additionally, the healing process for a Vertical Labret piercing is often quicker and less prone to irritation compared to a traditional Labret piercing. **

A labret piercing is a type of body piercing that is located below the lower lip, above the chin. It is typically done with a stud or a ring that sits flat against the skin. The term "labret" comes from the Latin word for lip. Labret piercings have been practiced by various cultures throughout history and are popular for both men and women as a form of self-expression. **

Without being able to physically see the labret piercing, it is difficult to determine if it is swollen. Swelling is a common reaction to a new piercing, especially in the first few days after getting it done. If the swelling is accompanied by redness, pain, or discharge, it may be a sign of infection and should be checked by a professional piercer or healthcare provider. It is important to keep the piercing clean and follow aftercare instructions to help reduce swelling and promote healing. **

I'm not a medical professional, but I can provide some general information. Signs of infection in a labret piercing may include redness, swelling, pain, warmth to the touch, and discharge of pus or blood. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, it's important to seek advice from a professional piercer or healthcare provider. They can assess the piercing and provide guidance on proper care or treatment if an infection is present. **

A side labret piercing is a type of lip piercing that is located on the side of the lower lip. It is typically placed slightly off-center, either to the left or right of the lip. This piercing is popular for its unique placement and can be adorned with various types of jewelry, such as studs or rings. Side labret piercings are known for their versatility and can be customized to suit individual style preferences. **

A labret piercing is typically around 8mm to 10mm in length. However, the length can vary depending on the individual's anatomy and personal preference. It is important to consult with a professional piercer to determine the appropriate length for your specific anatomy to ensure proper healing and comfort. **
